Discover what aspects could
retain/attract population to the villages/towns in our organisation´s
catchments areas. 2. Share the activities the partner organisations are
implementing that have proved to have worked out in order to retain citizens in
their localities.3. Develop workshops to work on several skills that some of
the partner institutions have lots of expertise on.4.Exchange of learners´
perspectives on living in a rural or urban area. 5. Creation of a booklet in
English, Bulgarian, Turkish and Spanish with different sections explaining the
results of EDUCOMBATION workshops as potential activities to work on the
promotion of life in the rural environment. 6. Work on the promotion of a
change of consideration of the primary sector jobs in our catchment area among
our educational community.7. To collaborate with VET schools to connect some of
their learners with us, and thus, work on the creation of intergenerational,
rural-urban bridges. 8. Fight the phenomenon of NEET (Not in Employment,
Education or Training). As for the first selected priority, we know in our
rural areas there is a strong feeling of belonging in terms of family values,
traditional jobs, caring for the environment, etc. In our Turkish partner
catchment area, despite being urban, they concentrate a great amount of
domestic rural and foreign migrants and refugees, all bring similar values as
in the rest of our partners localities. Promoting those values: inherited way
of living, caring for others and for the nearby environment is one of our main
aims. As in past Erasmus+ projects, we are aware of the power of simple
activities involving a few but, due to the participation of local adult
education centres, manage to reach more people.
The second priority aims to
the creation and promotion of learning chances for different age citizens, but
with a shared willingness to perpetuate their traditions. EDUCOMBATION is
focused not only on that preservation of traditions, but also on a connection
between the well known rural habits with current trends: digitalization of
everything having to adapt to it in an artificial and drastic way. Throughout
our project we plan to help our learners face all those new needs. Despite
having worked on that as single organisations, we strongly believe in
collaborative work to improve results. Our partner organisations have great
experience in adapting teachings to help our citizens face the ever changing
society. This connects with the last selected priority because we are used to
creating up and reskilling cores of activities, helping our learners to improve
their already acquired skills and to develop new ones. We get inspiration from
our elderly learners, model of resillience, live proof of the importance of getting
new skills by using already acquired ones. They are essential in our activities
since they are a growing sector in the population and everyone needs to coexist
with them, learning from and with them, that becomes the foundations for
intergenerational bridges, preparing all sectors in society to face together
the fast changing world.
